How It Works
Interrail passes work in a way in which you have a selected number of travel days; you can travel as many times as you wish within this day. Before you travel you will receive your pass and travel diary, as well as an interrail map. As you travel you will need to fill in the travel diary, as train inspectors ask to see this. All you need to do is fill in the date of the travel day and then the route(s) that you will be travelling to and from, before boarding the train.
The pass allows you to travel on most trains, however for some seat reservations, beds on night trains and some high speed trains, you will need to pay a supplement. You will need to book your own accommodation in the city as well as any excursions or activities that you wish to do. The pass does also not allow you unlimited travel within your home country.
